Never in fifty years. Never in fifty years that something like what had happen in the silver state could happen before in Malaysia.
Reasons; Not enough thinkers want to think about politics other than maintaining the old Barisan vanguard status quo. Things were okay then, we could go to work, kids can go to school, people have jobs, wife have to go to work .. er this particular statement was an obvious change from the fifties, sixties and seventies but people who can think just pointed out to the fact that women wanted career as they were more educated. But, Really, Do we really want to work?
I do not and if I can afford it I probably would not.
Women going to work was a big change but not big enough to move massess of thinkers to change the status quo and see what's next. Not enough, even when the corruption index, even when politicians were driving around in super expensive cars and living in castles, not enough.
But now, political maturity just seem to happen. We do not like the politicians or what they are doing or not doing we change them. Direct and strong political actions. We change them like in the 5 states that were lost to Pakatan Rakyat. They were changed. TBo Hoo but the beauty of political maturity is the fact that the people who later did not like the Pakatan rakyat in Perak then decided to change albeit through a weird and almost uncivilized manner but somehow or rather, change happen quite fast and after the change, we could still do and go about our daily chores nonchalantly.
Beautiful, to have the fights only in media but business still goes on.
I really like this article firstly about a big change on women nowadays who are mostly have their own career because they are well educated. This is because today, we can see that majority of women do not just sit down at home as housewives and they usually will do something else to make money even only by doing small business. The requirement for money to afford life has rises gradually especially when there is serious economical problem. Most women work either to help their husband or to fulfill their needs. However, we can’t deny that status quo would change if proper steps are not taken because there are more women than men in the universities or colleges now.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I really like this article and I am interested to the statement saying that the fights on political issues only in media yet business still go on. It means that, political issues do not affect much on people daily activities. Life still must go on even there is government change. People are brave to act if they do not like other party. They will do anything to assert their rights. And whatever happen, they would never neglect their lives.
